Thai Premier League - Buying tickets
I'm in Thailand in April and the day before I return home Muangthong United are playing, and the Mrs and friends I'm going with have given me a pass.

Has any WHOer watched a game in Thailand, specifically Bangkok and if so, is it difficult to get tickets?

Found out that a friend of mine in Bangkok goes to Port FC games. He also happens to be a big Millwall fan.. So if you go in a West Ham shirt, a big bloke called Colin might give you some lip.

Cheers for the info all. I'll take a look at Port FC.

Si, I'm there tonight mate. Not looking forward to it, mind. They've moved the Man City game as well, which will no doubt happen while I'm in Thailand. Cunts.

I used to go past Port's ground on the way to immigration. Looking on YouTube, it looks fun and cheap and not far from home. It's about £2.50 for a seat under the roof, or half to stand behind the goal. It's like Upton Park 1979 prices, but with better food.

Forgot to add , it’s easy to get to from central Bangkok ( Sukhumvit area) . Can grab a motorbike taxi .

You can get tickets before hand from the ticket office but always available on the day .

PB

Thai port are the team to watch , great atmosphere outside the ground before hand and in the ground ( go behind goal) and a large expat following .

I’ve been many times and have friends who are season ticket holders .

Only problem is only home game in April looks to be April 7th .

Depending on where you are staying, you might find Port FC easier to get to. Much closer to town. The area is a bit rough, and their nickname is the Lions, but don't let that put you off.

I noticed that they play in all weather there. Ankle deep water included.

I was in Bangkok for the whole of the COVID lockdowns and had to visit an immigration office immediately next to the stadium every 2 months. From central Bangkok, it's a long taxi ride costing about 300 baht each way.
Looking at their attendances, they are usually about 1/3 full. And it's against a team I've never heard of.
Opposite the ground is Impact which has a food court, 7 11 etc. Plus decent toilets.

Turn up at the ground. Always be able to get a ticket. Bangkok you say. As long as you don’t call the Red Scouse a butch of cunts you be fine. Enjoy.
